Recipe: Hot Doggities (baked hot dogs, using corn flakes, Kellogg's, 1970's)
Main Dishes - Pork, HamHOT DOGGITIES
2 cups Kellogg's Corn Flakes (or 1/2 Cup Kellogg's Corn Flake Crumbs)
10 (4 1/2-inch) wooden skewers (optional)*
10 frankfurters (about 1 lb.)
1/2 cup catsup
If using corn flakes, crush into fine crumbs. Set aside.
Insert skewers lengthwise into frankfurters, leaving about 2 inches for a handle.
Roll frankfurters in catsup, then coat generously with Corn Flakes crumbs. Place in single layer on greased or foil-lined shallow baking pan. Do not crowd.
Bake in moderately hot oven (400 degrees F) about 12 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Serve with additional catsup and mustard, if desired.
*May be prepared without skewers if preferred.
