Recipe: Pane de Chumpe (Salvadorian sandwich)

I found one recipe in Spanish. The translator program I used was poor but I will include both versions. Hopefully you can read Spanish or get someone who translates better Spanish than the translator program. LOL


PANE DE CHUMPE

"Compra un pavo peque o y d jalo en salmuera la noche antes. En el fondo de la cazuela para hornear coloca suficientes tallos de apio, cebolla en rodajas y ramitas de perejil. Con los jugos, debes hacer la salsa para los panes."

1 pavo de 15 libras
3 litros de recado para tamal
sal y pimienta al gusto
20 panes de agua
ramitas de berro
r banos cortados en rodajas finas
encurtido de zanahoria, ejote y apio

1. Una noche antes unta el pavo con suficiente sal y pimienta, luego d jalo en la salsa marinando, dentro de la refrigeradora.

2. Precalienta el horno a 375 F. Coloca el pavo con la mitad de la salsa en la cazuela preparada. Hornea de 2 1/2 a 3 horas, ba ndolo constantemente. Saca del horno y deja enfriar. Col calo sobre una bandeja para servir.

3. Mezcla los jugos colados de la cazuela con la salsa que reservaste. Col calos en una olla y hierve por unos minutos. Sirve para acompa ar el pavo con las ramitas de berro, r banos y encurtido.
