PEACH CAKE WITH FROSTING
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 cups self-rising flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 (16 oz.) can peaches, drained and chopped
FROSTING:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
Combine sugar, melted butter, and eggs.
Stir together flour, baking soda, and cinnamon. Add to sugar mixture. Mix well.
Stir in chopped peaches. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake for 30-35 minutes on 350 degrees. Cool in pan on rack. Pour frosting over warm cake.
FROSTING:
Combine frosting ingredients in a saucepan and cook about 5 minutes or until mixture coats spoon. Pour over warm cake and allow to set.
