Peppermint Fudge Recipe
Mote: I made this last night and found that you can increase the peppermint extract slightly to taste.
1 (11.5 oz) package Ghiradele Milk Chocolate Chips (2 cups)
1 cup Ghiradeli Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 (14 oz) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated milk)
dash of salt
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
1/4 cup crushed peppermint candy
In saucepan, over low heat, melt chips with sweetened condensed milk and salt. Remove from heat, stir in extract. Spread evenly into a soil-lined 8 or 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle with peppermint candy. Chill two hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board and cut into squares. Store loosely covered at room temperature.
