Recipe(tried): Pickled Pig's Feet or Hocks

Main Dishes - Pork, Ham
PICKLED PIG FEET OR HOCKS

4 pig feet or pork hocks, split in half lengthwise
3 cups vinegar
1 onion
12 black peppercorns
6 whole cloves
1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon salt

Clean pig feet or pig hocks thoroughly.
Cover with water and boil one hour.
Add salt, vinegar and spices.*
Boil slowly 3 to 4 hours.

Pour into a crock or non-reactive bowl, such as a glass bowl, and cool in liquid. (Store in refrigerator.)

*You may add some hot pepper seeds, to taste, also, if
desired.
