PRALINE CHEESECAKE BARS
FOR THE CRUST:
1 pkg Butter Recipe Golden Cake mix
3/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
3/4 cup butter, melted
FOR THE FILLING:
2 pkg (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
3/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
TO MAKE THE CRUST:
Combine cake mix (dry), pecans, and melted butter in large
bowl. Stir until well blended. Mixture will be crumbly. Press mixture onto bottom of prepared pan.
Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
TO MAKE THE FILLING:
Place cream cheese and brown sugar in medium bowl. Beat at low speed until blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each addition. Pour mixture into baked crust. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until edges are browned and
center is set. Cool completely.
Cut into bars. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
