Recipe(tried): Refrigerator Pickles

Preserving - Pickles, Relishes
Sounds like the crispy 'Refrigerator Pickle' recipe that I've been making for over 25 years. I'm having a great cucumber year too!

REFRIGERATOR PICKLES

6 cucumbers
2 cups sugar
1 onion
1 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional) not in original
recipe

*I have reduced the calories of this by using 1 1/2 cups Splenda and 1/2 cup sugar with excellent results.

Slice cukes thin, slice onions, mix other ingred. together and pour over cukes and onions. Refrigerate for minimum of 24 hours before serving...or at least overnight.
