Recipe(tried): Rice-a-Roni One Pan Dinner

Main Dishes - Casseroles
Rice-a-Roni One Pan Dinner

1 1/2 LB any ground meat
1 box any type Rice-a-Roni
1 can vegetable, reserve liquid
1 can flavored tomatoes
1 small can of mushrooms, reserve liquid
spices for additional flavor

Brown meat, drain and set aside. Brown rice according to directions on box. Add enough water to reserved liquid to make 2 cups. Add the liquid, meat, vegetables, tomatoes, mushrooms, and spices, (including the flavor packet from Rice-a-Roni)to the browned rice and finish cooking according to directions on box.

You can do the same thing with any box of chicken flavored Rice-a-Roni, adding precooked chicken pieces,(I use the boxed pieces). Instead of using canned vegetables, use fresh or frozen broccoli, and/or sliced carrots.
You can use your imagination for these dishes.
