I give this to my kids when they come down with a cold or the flu. It is tasty and very enjoyable. I like to drink mine from a large coffee mug.

1 pint of tomato juice **V8 can be substituted**
2 cups chicken broth
basil leaves
3 peppercorns
salt/pepper to taste
lemon slices

Mix the juice and the stock. Add seasonings and simmer for 15 minutes. Strain out the basil leaves and peppercorns. Serve with a slice of lemon on top.
