Recipe(tried): Seasoned Vegetable Tray
Misc. SEASONED VEGETABLE TRAY
Power level: HIGH (100%)
Total cooking time: About 101/2 dto 13 minutes for
each plate.
1/3 cup butter (or margarine)
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon parsley
1 pound fresh broccoli
1 small head cauliflower
2 medium zucchini
2 medium tomatoes, cut into wedges
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1. Combine butter, onion salt, thyme and parsley
in a 1 cup measure or bowl. Microwave on HIGH
(100%) for 45 seconds to 1 minute or until melted.
Set aside.
2. Trim and cut broccoli and cauliflower into florets.
Alternately arrange groups of the florets around
the edge of two 10-inch serving platters. Slice
zucchini and fill the center of the plate. Cover
with plastic wrap.
3. Microwave each plate on HIGH (100%) for 9 to ll
minutes or until vegetables are almost tender.
Drain off excess liquid.
4. Arrange tomato wedges on vegetable platter.
5. Pour butter mixture over vegetables and sprinkle
with Parmesan cheese.
6. Microwave uncovered on HIGH for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes
or until tomatoes are heated. Repeat with second
plate.
Recipe yield: 10 to 12 servings.
A refreshing tray of Seasoned Vegetables!!!
Note: Arrange toothpicks in a small attractive
glass if you choose not to spear each appetizer
ahead of time. Guests may select their own pick
or use their fingers.
