Recipe(tried): Smokey Cheese Soup
SoupsJackie, here's one my friend and I found in the Denver Post. Of course my friend added a little something of her own to it and made it great!.
Smokey Cheese Soup
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup flour
4 cups chicken broth
1 1/2 cups skim milk
1 pound Velveeta
1 Tablespoon Worchestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
Melt butter, add flour and whisk until blended and cook on low for 5 minutes. Gradually add broth and milk.. Add cheese, whisk until melted and thick. Add worchestershire and liquide smoke. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. This is great with rice, popcorn or seasoned croutons sprinkled on top.
