SPECIAL INDOOR BARBECUED SPARE RIBS WITH SAUCE
"From the Tabasco Sauce people in Creole Louisiana comes this classic red-hot barbecued ribs recipe. The sauce is equally good for barbecued chicken and just try it over grilled hamburgers."
I large onion, chopped
1/4 cup Wesson Oil
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1/2 cup water
I beef bouillon cube
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup white vinegar
2 tbsp. honey
2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. Liquid Smoke
1 large clove garlic, minced
I tsp. dry mustard
4 to 5 lb. pork spare ribs
In small saucepan, saute onion in Wesson Oil until transparent.
Add remaining ingredients except spare ribs. Mix well. Simmer 15 minutes.
Pour over spare ribs in large glass baking dish; let stand I hour, turning occasionally.
Arrange on shallow rack or broiler pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Turn ribs and baste with remaining barbecue sauce two or three times during baking. Cut in portions to serve.
Makes 4 servings
