Recipe: Spinach Sandyese

SPINACH SANDYESE

1 (10 oz) package frozen chopped spinach, cooked and drained until almost dry
1 medium pinch of sugar (1/2 teaspoon)
1 clove garlic, peeled, pounded and chopped
About 1/2 cup soy sauce (Kikkoman brand is the most authentic.
a dash of dry sherry and a teaspoon of sesame oil (or 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil)
GARNISHES (FOR SERVING):
finely chopped green onion, finely chopped hard boiled egg, fresh mushrooms washed and thinly sliced, and cooked, crushed bacon

Mix the above ingredients well-drain off any excess liquid. Cover and refrigerate for several hours.

When the time arrives to serve your Spinach Sandyese, prepare garnishes. These garnishes are used as the spinach lover chooses.
