Strawberry Cake

1 package cake mix, white or yellow
1 (3 oz) package strawberry jello
3/4 cup cooking oil
1 cup pecans, chopped
4 eggs
2 tablespoons flour
1 pint strawberries
1/2 cup sugar

Mix strawberries and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Mix remaining ingredients and beat well; pour into a 10" buttered and floured tube pan and bake at 350F 45 minutes, or until done. Serve plain or with whipped cream.
