Recipe(tried): Chinese Tomato Green Pepper Beef

CHINESE TOMATO GREEN PEPPER BEEF

MARINADE FOR BEEF:
1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp whiskey
4 tsp soy sauce
4 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

1 lb beef tenderloin, sliced in small pieces
5 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 large onions, sliced
2 large green bell peppers, chunked
1 cup water
3 cups firm ripe tomatoes, sliced

Marinate beef for at least two hours.

Heat frying pan. Add 3 tbsp vegetable oil, garlic, and the beef marinade; saute for 1 minute.

Add onions, and bell peppers and stir fry for 1 minute.

Add 2 tbsp oil; add water and mix well. Cook for half a minute.

Turn off heat, add tomatoes, stir well and serve hot with steaming hot rice.
