Recipe: Upside Down Pizza (using biscuit mix)

UPSIDE DOWN PIZZA

1/2 lb. sweet Italian sausage
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
1 (1.5 oz.) pkg. McCormick Spaghetti Sauce Mix
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup biscuit mix
1 cup milk
2 eggs

Prick Italian sausage casing in a few placed with a fork; cook in 400 degrees F. oven 30 minutes. Slice into rounds; set aside.

In saucepan, combine tomato sauce, 1/2 cup water and spaghetti sauce mix (dry); simmer 5 minutes.

Pour sauce into an 8x8-inch baking dish. Arrange sausage on top and sprinkle with green pepper and shredded mozzarella cheese.

Beat together biscuit mix, milk and eggs. Pour over all.

Bake in 350 degree F oven 35 minutes, or until golden.

Makes 4-6 servings
