Recipe: Walnut Brown Rice Dressing

Walnut Brown Rice Dressing

1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 cups cooked brown rice, cooked in chicken broth
1 cup cooked wild rice
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup beef or chicken broth

Cook onion, celery and garlic in butter until tender in small skillet over medium heat.

Combine with rice, wild rice, walnuts, sage, salt, pepper and broth in buttered 2-1/2-quart baking dish.

Bake at 350 degrees 20 to 25 minutes.

Makes 6 servings
