Recipe: White Pie (not Burton's)

Desserts - Pies and Tarts
did you eat this white pie at a little restuarant east of the town square? i am from christopher il and my brother lives outside benton in the country. that area is the only place i have even heard of or eaten white pie. i was home this weekend for christmas and had a piece of the best ever. Here's another recipe for White Pie (not Burton's):

3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
3 cups milk

cook in double boiler until very thick. then add white vanilla and a couple drops cocoanut flavoring. pour into cooked pie shell and top with cool whip and sprinkle with grated nuts.
