Recipe: White Salad
Misc.Hi Cynthia,This is a recipe that my grandmother gave me about 25 years ago.White Salad1 14-16 oz can diced pineapple, drained1 can fruit cocktail, drainedAdd to drained juices 3/4 c sugar.Heat then thicken with: 2 T cornstarch1 T flour Dash salt1/2 c cold waterCook until thick, then cool. Mix 1 pkg Dream Whip according to directions. Whip very stiff and fold in thickened juices. Fold in drained fruit and miniature marshmallows. Other fruits and nuts may be added. Small white grapes very good in this.I also seem to remember that shredded coconut was also a common ingredient in Ambrosia.Enjoy,Kathy
