Recipe: Zesty Cheese Fondue (Frank's RedHot Sauce recipe)
Appetizers and SnacksZESTY CHEESE FONDUE
1 (1.8 ounce) package white sauce mix
2 cups beer (or nonalcoholic malt beverage)
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (16 ounce) package pasteurized process cheese spread, cubed
3 tablespoons Frank's RedHot Hot Sauce (cayenne pepper sauce)
FOR SERVING:
1 loaf French or Italian bread, cubed
Apple slices
Prepare white sauce mix in large saucepan according to directions except substitute beer for milk and add garlic.
Stir in cheese; stirring constantly, until cheese melts and sauce is smooth. Stir in pepper sauce.
Transfer sauce to fondue pot or heated chafing dish. Serve warm with bread cubes or apple slices.
Makes 16 servings (4 cups)
