ISO: Caramel apple recipe needed

Help! Caramel apple recipe needed. My daughter, Kathy's club wants to make and sell caramel apples at the food fest at school next weekend. They plan to donate the profits to a charity. Unfortunately, bags of caramels are nowhere to be found in Singapore right now. Does anyone know of a recipe to make your own caramel that will work on caramel apples?

I'm enjoying this site since I found it a month ago, and have tried several recipes and printed others to try at a later date. Never have we eaten so good! Thanks for any help you can offer.
