Misc.I have never seen this particular recipe for Fried chicken, although I would
LOVE to! I would give this a try. Soak the chicken in buttermilk as Michelle
says, then coat with flour that has been seasoned with whatever seasoning you
like. For me it would be generous portions of salt, pepper, garlic salt, onion
powder. Shake the chicken and fry it in Crisco that you have melted to just
cover the bottom of the chicken fryer well. Brown your chicken pieces all over
and put the chicken in the oven, with no top,and cook for 20 minutes. Add 3
cups of half and half to the chicken, cover it, and bake for another 30
minutes. Now, I'm just making this up based on other things I've seen and
tried. I think I'm going to give it a try this weekend and I'll let you know
how it comes out! But, you are the only one that can judge if it is like your
Mom's!
