ISO: Need ideas (more)

Misc.

In February, I'm having a dinner party for 12-16 people, for a friend, and to reveal the mural she painted for me on my wall. The painting was taken from the Bible verses Rev. 21:1-2. Will be all Christians, but I want it to be fun and lighted-hearted - not quiet and religious. It would be nice to have some fun ideas to go along with the Bible though, if any of you have ideas.
Would like food/menu ideas too. Not too time-comsuming please. I'll do most of the cooking on that day since I work out of the home during the week. Can make a few things ahead and freeze if possible.
Thanks for any and all ideas and recipes.
