ISO: tragic bullet company policy

Misc.
I had this bullet for 1 year or so then it broke. Specifically the small plastic part that is on the top of the base that enables the cup/blade to seat and spin. Im sure this part is fairly cheap. And I can easily see that it would not be rocket science to simply screw on the new part.

The failure of the company to offer this and other parts at all, let alone at a reasonable price is a bad policy for the consumer and just makes the company look greedy, since it charges such a large % of the purchase price to replace the base, which it has now forces the consumer to replace.

Im going to look at buying a Tribest and have a cheap Hamilton Beach to get me by for now. Unfortuanely the bullet is the only one you can put the cups an blades into the dishwasher.

Does anyone know where to get aftermarket parts or know of a better blender?
