Thank You: Blum's Coffee Crunch Cake

Thank you for the amazing Blum's Cake recipe. I've been looking for years for it. My friends and I used to go to Bullock's Wilshire Tea Room (no longer exists along with many other lovely Los angeles stores all gone) just to eat the cake. Do you remember Will Wright's Ice Cream? I am a specialist in homemade ice cream. Every summer in mid-AugustI have a Sunday afternoon homemade ice cream social for 35 or more of my friends. We eat 1-1/2 gallons of from 12-14 special flavors of ice cream that I take about 2+ weeks to make. Every year I have a secret flavor. Last year, my 15th year of these ice cream socials, the secret flavor was Romanoff's strawberry ice cream, derived from one of Romanoff's recipes for srawberries (do you remember Romanoff's Restaurant in Beverly Hills?)
