Carolyn - I do have a slow cooker. I haven't used it for about a year though. Hope it still works. Have felt a little hesitant in leaving it on all day, but I guess it's done everyday without any problems. Guess I get too paranoid because of not being close by to check on it. I better start out with simple recipes until I feel more comfortable. I always had trouble with getting everything to finish about the same time. Seems like something would go wrong and I would end up overcooking something. Chicken dishes would be my first choice. Then beef. My husband doesn't like fish - so that would be out. Once in awhile we will have pork chops. Can they be cooked in the crock pot also? Thank you very much for your response. I'm glad I found this web-site. I have a feeling I will be a frequent visitor.
