Misc.
So far, all I have read about the Etruscans is Bella Tuscany and Under the Tuscan Sun. Great talk of food in those books, too! We recently bought The Food and Wine Lover's Comapnion to Tuscany by Carla Capalbo and Open Road Publishing's Tuscany and Umbria Guide by Douglas E. Morris. Today I felt close to Tuscany as I had to move some of the more tender herbs in my garden to my cook's library on the west side of our home. I had also purchased more herb plants on sale at several nurseries a few days ago & they needed new homes in bigger pots, or a new home in my herb garden outside for the hardier ones. The house, myself and my dear Corgi all smell of rosemary, basil, golden and Texas sage, chives and parsely now! There was one catnip plant as an offering to the two felines in our midst. I will post any new recipes I try to get us in the Tuscan mood!-Micha
