Authors .. so many of us like ...(more)

Misc.

So many of us seem to like the same books! I'd be lost without the library - we're always reading. I just got a notice from the library that THE STREET LAWYER (GRISHAM) i finally in - I must have put myself on the reserve list early this year? Or late last? I know I could have gotten it sooner by getting it out of the rental section -- but I had enough others to read!

I've made notes of some of the authors you mentioned that I haven't read: Terry,TX mentioned Jeffery Deavers; and Sarah mentioned 3 I haven't tried. Sarah, I really have enjoyed the Marcia Muller books, Joan Hess, Rita Mae Brown, Eliz Peters,

And, like most of you - I read a lot of Patricia Cornwell, Dick Francis, Robert Parker, James patterson, both the Kellermans; Jeffery Archer; John Grisham, Dean Koontz; Belva Plain, Tom Clancy, Tony Hillerman, Clive Cussler and so on.

Do any of you read Richard North Patterson, Steve Martini, John Lescort (Dimas Hardy ones), Linda Fairstein, Edna Buchanan, Tami Hoag, Linda Scottoline, John Sanford (the ones with Prey in the title - tho he had one without recently), Nancy Taylor Rosenberg -- these are more or less mystery, detective, lawyer, police, DA, etc. types.

I've read several of Thos. Perry - the Jane Whitfield ones (she's an Am.Indian who helps people lose their idenity and get a new life - tho, naturally, there are problems. Also, Nevada Barr - they're adventure (with murders, etc.) - a woman is the star -and she's in the forest service. Not forest - but some govt agency similar - park service? And each seems to happen in a different park area. The older ones I liked better.

I like Lillian Jackson Braun's THE CAT WHO ones ... I usually take those along when traveling; same with Sue Grafton's alphabet series - just finished N is for Noose.

A few years ago a friend recommended a book - A SIMPLE PLAN byScott Smith - I thin it was published in '93. It's a mystery, etc. type -- but rather different - and it is short. a different twist than usual.

I'll have to keep checking for any new authors you gals have. I know I keep finding new (tho some of them are old) ones all the time!
