Mystery Authors: More!

Misc.

Picked up some books at one library or another recently, so reckon I ought to add a few more of my favorites to the list. They are:

Claudia Bishop: The sisters Qwilliam series.

Faye Kellerman: Peter Decker/Rina Lazarus series.

Rosamund Pilscher (sp): "September". While not a mystery per say, it is an excellent novel of manners and money in modern-day Scotland.

Kate Kingsbury: The Hotel Pennyfoote series. If your taste runs to Victorian and/or Edwardian fun, there's a good chance you'll enjoy these books.

Jacqueline Girdner: The Kate Jasper series about Marin County. If you want to laugh at, with and/or about northern CA, you'll love these with titles like "Murder Most Mellow" and "Tea-Totally Dead!"

Janet Dawson: The Jeri Howard series. She's a gritty Oakland, CA, PI who's self-described as "nosy."

Sister Carol Ann O'Marie: The Sister Mary Helen series by a Bay Area nun who writes excellent mysteries featuring a (retired) Bay Area nun!

Marilyn Wallace: The editor of the "Sisters in Crime" series. A great way to "try out" new authors.

Barbara Michaels: AKA 'Elizabeth Peters', these novels read more like those by Phyllis A. Whitney. My favorites: "Ammie, Come Home," "Shattered Silk" and "A Stitch in Time," which form a interesting trilogy.

Peter Lovesly: The Bertie series. He's a master when it comes to making a dectective out of Crown Prince Albert Edward ('Bertie").

Edna Buchannan: The Britt Montero series, but I'm still searching for "The Corpse Had a Familiar Face" (can't keep it in the library).

Do hope that you find these interesting -- I have!

Cheers!
