Funny, You Should Mention:

Misc.

Hi Sandy, You reminded me of probably the ONLY gadget I never wish to admit I bought! A few years ago, husband and I were taking a trip to be alone in the mountains in a chalet. All we cared about was the hot tub and buying enough Victoria Secret bubble bath, champaign and candles. We didn't ask about kitchen appliances. Upon arrival the chalet was wonderful but no microwave and we knew we didn't want to eat out every meal. We went into town and stocked up on some groceries and saw this "handy- dandy" gadget marked WAY DOWN, and thought that it would be ideal for defrosting thick steaks to grill. HA! What a disaster! We had bubbles everywhere tring to get that thing re-heated every few minutes to defrost dinner. Jim said, he'd been better off turning on CNN than have me fool with that stupid defroster! Bummer! We fixed quick dishes requiring no defrost the rest of the trip! It's in the gadget graveyard way under my kitchen cabinet! Thanks for reminding me of that bitter/sweet time! Thank goodness more SWEET than bitter :-) !
