Misc.

I like to make big batches of sausage balls, cheese straws and cheese stuffed dates. I like all three of these because they can all be made ahead of time, frozen and baked as needed, or made in their entirety and frozen. At Christmas, my grandmother always has tins of savory and sweet snacks sitting around and everyone just kind of helps themselves.

Another good idea is a big bowl of whole fruit in a prominent spot.

If you'll need your guests to fend for themselves at times, you may want to make up a package of brochures, local magazines, maps, etc. that detail tourist attractions, museums and other things to do. This way, they can do some things on their own if you get tied up.

Have fun!
