Hi Claudette -
Misc.Good to hear from you and good to hear the temps are coming down some now - this morning it was in the high 40s here on Cape Cod. We're planning on leaving here Sept.30th, if we don't freeze first!
My sister is still in her cottage up high in Vermont and it was 30 there yesterday morning! She's got the woodstove going and her little Jack Russell is in her sweater -
I got that recipe from my daughter and use it alot especially for an informal company meal. My favorite company meal is one that Gina posted a long time ago - the Eye of the Round roast done in foil with onion soup mix and mushroom soup poured on top - It is so tasty and tender - you'd never know the gravy was from the soups. I don't have that recipe with me, but Betsy might re-post it. It's more for a cool mid-winter Florida day than right now.
We've had a pretty scary summer - Ed had open chest surgery at a Boston hospital - they weren't sure what they'd find going in, but it turned out very well, so now we're relaxing a bit and enjoying the cool weather before heading down.
I'm also looking forward to doing DH's favorite this fall - Galombkies - it's an old family recipe and one of the best ones - there are as many recipes for that as there is for meat loafs and sphagetti sauce!
Love, June
