How To Cook Perfect Rice Every Time

Misc.
I have learned with experience how to make perfect rice every time:

Put up two cups of water for every 1 cup of rice. Add a little salt. Put the rice in with the water. Boil together! When it comes to a full boil, lower the heat, cover and cook for twenty minutes. Lift the cover and sit. It should be perfectly cooked. But remember to lower the heat after it comes to a boil and let it simmer at the lowered temperature. You should have no problem after that.

My favorite rice is basmati if you can get it.

It has a nutty, popcorny flavor and smell when cooking. I love it and I don't use anything else. I do use Minute Brown Rice when I am in a hurry.

Also I have a microwave method if you wish:

Same measurements. One cup of rice, 2 cups of water.

In microwaveable container, put rice and water an some salt. Put on HIGH for 15 minutes. It should come out perfect. For minute rice in the micro, put one cup of rice and one cup of water and put on HI for 7 minutes. It comes out pefect every time.

I hope this helps.
