I hope you like the pie, too, Gina!

Misc.
after I posted it (or drew the other woman's attention to my previous posting, rather), I "remembered" and made it myself. Luis and my younger son each ate two pieces, one went to work with Luis today for lunch, and I set aside the paltry little leftover for myself for lunch this week, with a wee bit of leftover grilled lamb. I also served some souvlaki chicken skewers, (just from the grocery store, they were ok) as lamb is not that popular with the kids, with it for dinner last night.

I think next time I will make two pies...they freeze beautifully, and are lovely for lunch, even just nuked up (not quite as crispy as when they come out of the oven, but delicious none the less!).

I bet your lawn looks fantastic! I picked more of my tiny grape tomatoes, and some green beans, which I have been blanching and saving for winter. I make your southern green beans, with the bacon?...they are wonderful!

Still nice weather here, I will get outside soon...it is quite nippy in the morning, nice and warm in here as one of my DS made a lovely fire in the woodstove. We are cosy, the current temp outside is 10C, which is about 50F. Still a bit chilly for me...but when the sun gets into my yard, I'll be out there!

have fun!

Carolyn!

ps I think maybe I have seen the soul food show, or was it a movie?...sounds familiar tho!
