June, Carol is right about all the great choices out there....

Misc.
We have been attempting to eat better over the last couple years, due to cholesterol problems. I lost a lot of pounds and now both of us don't feel too wonderful after "treating" ourselves to the old favorites of fried chicken, bacon, etc. We can taste and feel the grease in our mouths after the meal and each time it becomes easier to pass poor choices up! I am glad you husband is doing well and you two have been given a second chance. We enjoy Boca burgers, we treat them like we used to dress up burgers, with (fat-free now) 1000 dressing, for the "Big Mac" taste, we eat tons of chicken breasts and I have some outstanding ways to make them yummy. Lots of things are very tasty in the fat-free sections now, you just have to keep an eye on calories, as some of them boost the sugar content to keep the taste up. Let me tell you June, if we can do it, anyone can, we were hamburger gravy, fried spam, fried taters, bacon-tater pancake, rib-eye, prime rib folks. That was an everyday thing in some way or another and now we eat red meat perhaps twice a month and have regular veggie-plate nights. Roasted veggies are wonderful and I wish I had found that out sooner! Keeping you in my prayers. I will post some of the new things we eat soon, let us know how it's going when you can. God Bless.
