Thank You: Thank you for your loving support -

Misc.
I can't thank you all enough for your words of support and encouragement - I'm a nurse and certainly KNOW BETTER - but somehow, knowing better and following through on that are two different things!

You have described us perfectly - we were the fast food junkies - on the run, easier to stop at Mickie D's than go home and cook healthy - and even when I cooked, he loved that butter and cheese stuff loaded on - this will challenge us both.

I tended to eat like he did because it was easier, but my favorite things are fresh veggies, just steamed al dente, and grilled chicken and fish - so I know that I won't have a problem being more careful - but I would cook that way for him because it was the only way I could get veggies into him - Sure he likes chicken - fried and greasy!

Claudette, aren't we fortunate to be here in the Lee Memorial system and their great cardio departments - and HealthPark is the greatest - we've been very impressed with the care.

And, if all continues to go well, tomorrow dear DH comes home - in only FIVE days - I remember the days of open heart surgery when the patient was on the respirator a week, and in ICU for another two weeks beyond that. I'm going to be so happy to have him back but apprehensive at the same time - somehow being a nurse doesn't help when it's your own loved one. I'm just so glad to be given this second chance.

Again - thanks for all the love and support - you've been my extended family more than once over the past years, dear ones.

Love, June
