They warned us about days like this -

Misc.
We have gone to several of the post-open heart classes they give, all about everything - diet, activity, etc - and one of the things that they said was that there might be depression.

Is it just because he came home today, and there is such a let-down for some reason - he and I were so happy this morning, to be getting him home. By this afternoon (nothing bad had happened) he sunk down into a really quiet, depressed mood, while I've been crying like an idiot off and on all evening, can't stop. He wouldn't do his breathing exercises, or walk like he had in the hospital.

I'm glad they told us this would be normal, otherwise I'd feel like I was ready for committal somewhere - and it's nothing I can even put my finger on - just deep sadness.

Thanks for listening and letting me vent - maybe it will help.

Love, June
