Pam, here's what I do.....
Misc. We don't drink wine either,so I ususally substitute beef broth or chicken broth for recipes that call for wine ( I have also substitued fruit juices). A lot of times as long as you substitue equal amounts of liquid you won't have a problem. I have never used cooking wine in foods, but many people tell me that cooking the alcohol evaporates, when using real drinking wine, so if that is your concern I don't think the alcohol would be the problem. I wish I could help you more, but I have never encountered the problem before.
