Cilantro is a herb that is used mostly in Chinese and Mexican food. It's used alot in Salsa's and Pico De Gallo. I find that people either love it or hate it.
I've let it go to seed, and then have found it growing alot of places after the wind had blown some of the seeds. I've also taken some of the seeds and given them away. It grows here in the south better in the winter, doesn't do to well in real hot weather. Good Luck.
