Thank you, Marilyn, for your Pesto recipe. It sounds good, and it is something I can do with my excess cilantro. I'll have to decide, after I try that, if I am going to plant it again next year.

I, too, have Pineapple sage, but I am keeping it in the house along with my Greek oregano. I planted another kind of oregano (not sure what variety) outside. Will these grow and thrive as house plants, and can I use their leaves as required? I assume I can use the fresh leaves with chicken and such?

I am beginning to think I should have done some research before planting all these different kinds of herbs. I am not sure what are perennials and what are not, and the tags on them from the greenhouse only say what they are -- no particulars (and the place I bought them from is 3 hours away!) The ones I planted from seed provide me with no more information, either, because someone threw out my empty packages (the other herbs I planted are chives, garlic chives, marjoram, basil, and two varieties of parsley). I also planted lots of garlic, but that I have no problem with (we use all of it and then some!!! Last year I even used my dill pickle recipe, and made dilled pickled garlics, much to the enjoyment of my husband and 10 year old son!)
