Ingrid, I use the machine for the kneading and the raiing (dough mode) then pull it out to let it rise the final time in a bread pan. I don't like the bread the machine makes but it can be used to help with time. With 5 kids and not much time they do love the home baked bread. After it is popped out of the oven it doesn't last long!!
