Hi, Elly,

Glad you like your selection of recipes - I wanted to give you enough so that if some "dogs" were in there, you'd have others that were usable. I'd like to be around to have recipes tested on me - lucky hubby! Do let me know how he rates them when you have time.

I only found TKL in June - your story about developing a friendship with Janie is marvelous. God definitely works in strange but good ways! Seeing the posts at TKL and hearing a story such as yours confirms that the internet can be a very good thing. I was wary of it before landing here, but now have gotten myself an e-mail address and have told my husband that I think we need two telephone lines! Friends and family members are telling us that we'll have to call them because our line is busy WHENEVER they call, and guess who gets blamed for that!

I don't think you're brain-dead, it's more like brain-numbed after trying to figure all this healthy eating out. It all starts to blur together. I really feel for Deb because, for me, it would be a full-time job planning menus.
