Using scanner to enter recipes to disk

Re:using scanner to enter recipes... I have been thinking of doing this for some time. But would it work for mastercook? I don't think so, unless you scanned, cut and pasted somehow, as it wouldn't fill in the blanks (so to speak) for all the individual fields that need entered. If someone knows of a way to use the scanner, please post HOW!!!
