I have three versions:
NORTH WOODS INN RED CABBAGE SALAD

Servings: 4
1/2 head red cabbage
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon Lawry's seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Shred cabbage into bowl. Add rest of ingredients and mix well. Let stand several hours for flavors to mellow.
NORTH WOODS INN RED CABBAGE SALAD (ORIGINAL RECIPE)

6 cups shredded red cabbage (1 head)
The North Wood's Dressing:
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 to 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper or to taste
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Shred cabbage and mix with oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, seasoned salt, pepper, and onion powder. Stir well. Place cabbage in plastic or glass bowl. Pour dressing on cabbage. Cover and chill overnight (8 hours). Stir several times to coat cabbage. Can be drained before serving.

Note from source: Here's a recipe given to me by a friend many years back. I don't know if it's the original, but I think it's close!
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon beef bouillon cube, crushed
salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
1/2 cup wine vinegar
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons pureed garlic
1/4 cup grated sweet bell pepper
1 small onion, finely diced
1/2 head red cabbage, shredded
In a bowl, mix together lemon juice, sugar, bouillon, salt, pepper, vinegars and oil. Stir in pureed garlic, red pepper and diced onion. Pour mixture over the shredded cabbage and stir well. Let stand in the refrigerator overnight to blend flavors.
