Recipe(tried): A must try- soda cracker candy

Desserts - Candy, Chocolate

Here's great treat to pack in lunches, keep on hand for surprise company, serve as desert, or bring to potlucks...Very fast, very easy, and made from things oon hand! Also great for those specials cravings- salty, sweet, chocolatey, and crunchy.

You'll need:
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
1 package of chocolate chips
35-40 saltine crackers
1 c. walnuts (optional)

Melt butter in saucepan, add brown sugar, mix until disolved, bring to a boil. Line a cookie sheet with foil, place single layer of crackers in sheet. Pour butter/sugar mixture evenly over crackers-they will float. Place in preheated 350 degree oven for 5 minutes. Pour chocolate chips evenly over cracker. Place back in oven for 10 minutes or until chocolate melts- spread evenly. Press walnuts into chocolate if desired. Allow to cool, then place into refrigerator until firm- cut in to squares. Makes about 3 dozen squares
