Recipe: Beer and Bratwurst

Main Dishes - Pork, Ham
BEER AND BRATWURST

1 lb (about 4) bratwurst or other smoked sausage
1 (12 oz) can beer
1 medium onion, sliced
10 whole black peppercorns

In large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Cook until almost boiling. Cover; simmer 10 minutes.

Remove bratwurst. Continue simmering onion until tender.

Broil or grill bratwurst 3 to 5 inches from heat about 3 to 5 minutes on each side.

To serve, drain onions ans serve with sausage.

Makes 4 servings.
