Recipe: Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Crisps (using Kix or Cocoa Puffs)

CHOCOLATE CHIP PEANUT BUTTER CRISPS

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup shortening
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
4 cups Kix cereal (or Cocoa Puffs)
1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Mix sugars, peanut butter, butter, shortening, egg, baking soda and baking powder.

Stir in cereal and chocolate chips.

Shape dough slightly by rounded tablespoons and place on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake until golden brown 10-12 minutes. Cool 5 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
