Recipe: Chocolate Dipped Fruit (or pretzels, nuts or cookies, Nestle label recipe)

1 (8 oz.) pkg. (4 bars) Nestle Semi-5weet Baking Chocolate, broken
1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
2 pints strawberries or other fresh fruit, rinsed and patted dry*
Microwave chocolate and shortening in microwavable bowl on HIGH 1-1/2 to 2 minutes, stirring twice. Stir until smooth.
Dip strawberries into melted chocolate, shaking off excess. Place on foil-lined cookie sheets; refrigerate until set.
SAUCEPAN VERSION:
Place chocolate and shortening in heavy saucepan. Stir over low heat until melted and smooth. Proceed as above.
*For variety, try dipping pretzels, nuts, dried fruits or your favorite cookies.
