PIGTAIL TWISTS
"Tiny tots' lunch. You cut the meat and prepare the strips of dough. They do the twisting."
1 (12 oz) can pork luncheon meat (Spam)
2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/2 cup cold water
Chili sauce (optional, for serving)
Heat oven to 450 degrees F.
Cut meat crosswise into 6 slices; cut each slice lengthwise in half; set aside.
Stir baking mix and water to a soft dough. Gently smooth dough into a ball on floured cloth-covered board. Knead 5 times.
Divide dough into 12 parts. Roll each part into a 12-inch strip. Wind a strip of dough spirally around a strip of meat; place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake on 15 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
Serve hot and, if you like, with chili sauce.
Makes 12 twists
