Recipe: Muffin Squares (using poultry seasoning, Bisquick recipe, 1970's)

"Supper bread which can substitute for dressing when you skillet-fry chicken or pork chops. The flavor's the same as dressing, but Muffin Squares are lots easier and speedier."
2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1 egg
2/3 cup water
1/4 tsp poultry seasoning
Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
Mix all ingredients; beat vigorously 1/2 minute. Pour batter into greased square pan, 8x8x2 inches.
Bake about 20 minutes. While warm, cut into squares.
Makes 6 servings
